Program Monitor (Security)

AdCare Criminal Justice Services is seeking per diem Program Monitors (security) to work with female ex-offenders.
Monitors shall: Screen entrants to the Dartmouth Center through use of metal detecting wands. Be trained in crisis intervention including de-escalation techniques and safe and sanitary urine collection techniques. The Program Monitors will regularly patrol both interior and exterior of the center while monitoring participants at all times.
EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, counseling, human services, psychology or social work from an accredited program or high school diploma with minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
SKILLS REQUIRED: The Ability to deal respectfully and professionally with a difficult population required. To demonstrate professionalism and accountability, and to maintain federal confidentiality requirements.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
If recovering, a minimum of two years of continuous abstinence is required.
Must be able to pass CORI background records check and pre-employment drug screen

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
