Scheduling Coord

Responsibilities: Communicate extensively with Steward Direct and Doctor Finder to ensure that referral requests are processed and specialty appointments are created. Provide frontline daily interaction with consumers and physician offices by phone and email in a professional manner integrating. Stewards high customer service standards. Schedules appointments and event registration for consumers and fulfills requests for information on physicians and services. Schedules specialty appointments on behalf of primary care physician offices. Utilizes many types of software; a Windows-based referral software program, a medical office scheduler (ATHENA), and Meditech. Maintain accuracy of clinician and consumer databases that serve the six hospitals of the Steward Health Care System. Tracks response to system wide marketing promotions Serve as liaison between consumers and steward clinician offices, hospital services, events, and promotions Collaborate effectively with affiliated physicians, office staff, hospital marketing departments and other departments, as needed. Maintain confidentiality and exhibit appropriate decision-making in consumer interactions. Provide administrative support to manager for other system wide Marketing/Communications initiatives as needed. Previous administrative experience to include data entry, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills. Self-motivated; demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability and attention to detail a necessity. Fluency in a foreign language, particularly Spanish or Portuguese needed. Adaptable to changing priorities. Other duties as assigned. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external users.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years related customer service experience, medical office experience preferred. Previous Windows experience required to master proprietary software for scheduling and database management. Web email experience necessary for consumer communication.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
